As of October 2021, about VND800 billion from the city budget went to support people and enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, Da Nang government granted VND 87.4 billion in funding to cover 100% of the tuition fees for preschoolers and high school students citywide during the 2021-2022 school year.
Authoritties, along with government departments and agencies, are making every effort to ensure a warm and happy Tet for the disadvantaged. Moreover, the city exempted 100% of stall rental fees for all fixed and non-fixed business households in wet markets at the total amount of more than VND30 billion. In addition, the city exempted or reduced power bills for city-based businesses with the amount of about VND57 billion.
This was a necessary and timely support for needy people amid coronavirus crisis, thereby helping them overcome their current difficulties and continue with their lives.
As the Tet Festival 2022 is approaching, the city’s leaders have actively directed government departments and agencies, and authorities at all levels, to make greater efforts to help local inhabitants to enjoy a warm and happy traditional holiday.
