Border guard officers and men in Da Nang take part in beach cleanup

Dozens of officers and men from the Tien Sa Port's border gate guard station under the Da Nang Port Border Guard joined a beach clean-up operation on Saturday.

They got actively involved in the cleanup of the Tien Sa Beach, and the removal of illegal advertisements on power poles there which caused unsightly beauty of the port and beach.

Also, they planted more trees in an effort to contribute to building a green, clean and beautiful environment.

The beach cleanup event is one of the practical activities in response to the 'Let's Cleanup the Ocean' programme and 'Saturday volunteering' movement, as well as aims to raise awareness of border guard officers and men, plus local residents, about the upcoming World Environment Day (June 5).
