Da Nang, Laotian provinces continue fostering their friendship and partnership

Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, on Thursday, held receptions for leaders of three provinces of Laos. They were Deputy Governor of Champasak Province Somboun Haeungvongsa, Deputy Governor of Attapeu Province Bounsuet Setthilat, and Deputy Governor of Khammuane Province Somsaat Ounsida.

Vice Chairman Minh highly praised the visits made by leaders of the three Laotian provinces when participating in the ongoing International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair 2022 in the city.

Mr. Minh suggested leaders of Champasak Province soon seek an earmark in Pakse Town to build a Vietnamese language centre, implement the East-West Economic Corridor No 2 (EWEC2) project, and build a road transport route connecting Pakse Town to Da Nang, under the memoranda of understanding with Da Nang during the 2023-2027 period.

When receiving Deputy Governor of Attapeu Province Bounsuet Setthilat, the city's leader hoped the two sides would actively implement the contents of the signed memoranda of understanding on cooperation during the 2023-2027 period, as well as enhance exchange activities between professional agencies, thereby significantly contributing to fostering their bilateral friendly relationship.

During his reception for Deputy Governor of Khammuane Province Somsaat Ounsida , Vice Chairman Minh expressed his desire that the two localities would organise many cultural exchange activities and strengthen cooperation in many fields of their interest in the coming time.

The leaders of the Lao provinces thanked the city leader for his warm and respectful welcome to the delegations, affirming that they would carry out many activities to consolidate and cultivate the special friendship and solidarity relationship with Da Nang in the years ahead.
