Chairman Chinh informed that the USAID-funded project on technical support for Viet Nam's urban energy security in Da Nang has been completed.

Under the project, USAID supported Control and Automation Solutions Company Limited (CAS) headquartered in Da Nang to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Mobile World Group (MWG) to cooperate in implementing green energy and circular economy projects. Also, training courses on enhancing capacity on green bonds, green finance and sustainable finance for banks and financial institutions were organised in the city.

Through the process of approaching, exchanging, and working, three innovative solutions were deployed in Da Nang. They were ecological electricity meter, smart charging solution for two-wheeled vehicles, and charging solution for electric cars.

In addition, two USAID-funded projects are being carried out in Da Nang. They are a project on professional training for medical staff in therapy and rehabilitation between USAID and the Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy; and the other is on promoting higher education and improving training quality.

Regarding USAID's opinions, the city leader agreed to promote the effectiveness of the three coordinated projects of the two sides. Da Nang has strengths in information technology and digital transformation, along with a system of good quality universities, to meet the projects’ requirements.

For her part, Director of USAID Viet Nam Aler Grubbs thanked the municipal government for recently coordinating to implement many cooperation programmes with USAID.

She hoped that, in the coming time, the city would continue to coordinate, share, and build ideas, and promote the relationship between the two sides, all serving as a concrete demonstration of the global strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the USA.
