Da Nang delegation visits Consulate General of Viet Nam in Pakse
Within the framework of the ongoing business trip to Salavan Province, Laos, the delegation of Da Nang's officials, led by Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Council Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, recently visited the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Pakse.

During his reception for the Da Nang delegation, Vietnamese Consul General Nguyen Van Trung, informed that, in recent times, the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Pakse has always performed well its functions of protecting Vietnamese citizens, supporting Vietnamese businesses, and maintaining and promoting friendly relations between Vietnamese and Laotian localities.
A total of more than 15,000 Vietnamese people, and 115 Vietnamese businesses, are living and operating in the southern provinces of Laos, contributing to promoting the economic development and social security in these localities.
The Vietnamese community well obeys local laws and actively preserves traditional culture and the Vietnamese language.
For her part, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi thanked the officers and staff of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse for acting as a bridge to foster the friendship and cooperation ties between Da Nang and the southern provinces of Laos in recent years.
She, at the same time, hoped to continue to receive special attention and active support from the Consulate General in creating favourable conditions for Da Nang businesses and people living and doing business in the southern provinces of Laos.
Mrs. Thi pledged that the municipal government will always accompany and coordinate closely with the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Pakse in foreign affairs activities with southern provinces of Laos in order to consolidate and strengthen the special traditional friendship relationship between Viet Nam and Laos in general, and Da Nang and southern provinces of Laos in particular.
