Da Nang expects US support in developing semiconductor industry
During his meeting on Wednesday in Da Nang with US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Susan Burns, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh remarked that Da Nang is one of the country’s pioneer localities in developing the semiconductor industry.

Currently, the University of Da Nang and the city-based FPT University are on course to build a semiconductor technology training programme, aiming to provide high-quality human resources in this field for the city in the future.
Chairman Chinh voiced his hope that, with her reputation and experience, Mrs. Susan Burns will connect and call on more US businesses to explore investment opportunities in the city in the coming time, thereby significantly contributing to strengthening the good relationship and cooperation between Viet Nam and the US.
In reply, Consul General Susan Burns highly appreciated the good cooperative relationship between US localities and Da Nang in recent years.
She suggested universities in Da Nang promote the training of high-quality human resources in semiconductor and renewable energy. These are important and potential fields that US investors and businesses are looking to invest in the city.
Mrs. Susan Burns affirmed that she will do her utmost to promote the development of the US-Viet Nam cooperation practically and effectively in the years ahead.
