Da Nang strengthens high-quality human resource cooperation with Japan's Osaka Prefecture
Da Nang People's Council Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi held a reception on Tuesday for a group of visitors from the Friendship Parliamentarians’ Association of Japan’s Osaka Prefecture, led by its Chairman Wada Kenji.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Thi remarked that Da Nang is one of the localities in Viet Nam that have effectively implemented many cooperative programmes with Japan.
She also spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation results between the two localities in such spheres as culture, education, healthcare and tourism, adding that her city has paid attention to luring more Japanese investments.
Japan is currently Da Nang’s largest investor in term of registered FDI capital with 222 projects totalling more than USD1 billion. In particular, educational cooperation is a bright spot in the cooperation relationship between Da Nang and Japan with many exchange programmes for youth, pupils and students.
The host proposed that the two localities organise more student, cultural and people-to-people exchange programmes in the coming time.
Mrs. Thi also asked for support from Chairman Wada Kenji to promote bilateral cooperation on labour so that Da Nang interns and workers can work in Japanese enterprises involving such fields as information technology, mechanics, construction maintenance, agriculture, and nursing.

In reply, Chairman Wada Kenji thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome, saying that the year 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic relations (September 21) with many exciting activities.
He shared information about the World Expo 2025 in Osaka with authorities and the business community of Da Nang.
The Japanese guest showed his keen interest in training high-quality human resources, and hoped that the two localities will continue to strengthen the exchange of human resources in aspects of their strengths in the years ahead.
Mr. Wada Kenji took the opportunity to invite Vice Chairwoman Anh Thi and other municipal leaders to visit Osaka Prefecture to learn about and strengthen cooperation in their potential fields.
During his business trip to Da Nang, Mr. Wada Kenji had working sessions with the University of Da Nang and the Dong A University on improving the quality of human resource training.
