On Thursday, the Da Nang Labour Federation and the city’s branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) gave Tet gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to 230 local low-income government employees and workers.  The aim was to help them to celebrate a warm and happy Tet Festival.

In addition, the Da Nang Labour Federation presented 15 million VND in total to Mr Dinh Van Hoi and Mr Cao Van Viet from Son Tra District's Tho Quang Ward whose fishing boats were damaged by Storm No 3 last year.

Mrs Dang Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the Da Nang Labour Federation, said that as of 14 January the district and local businesses chapters of the Federation have already pledged to present 8,000 more Tet gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to poor people across the city.
