Free medical examinations for organ donors
Starting from early August, the Da Nang General Hospital will offer free periodic medical check-ups for people who have already donated their organs at the hospital.
The purpose of the meaningful activity is to ensure periodic healthcare benefits of organ donors who donate parts of their bodies to save lives of others. Also, another aim is to help the organ donors early detect such common diseases as high blood pressure, diabetes, gout, and kidney and liver failure.
Accordingly, organ donors will be given general medical examinations, and provided with such paraclinical tests as urine, complete blood count, blood urea nitrogen, blood sugar, creatinine blood, SGOT, SGPT and chest X-Ray.
During the medical examinations and follow-ups at the hospital, organ donors will receive allowances in accordance with the national law.
