Nghe An supports healthcare workforce for Da Nang
The Da Nang Department of Health, on 14 August, called on Nghe An Province to support workforce to help the city provide care and treatment for Covid-19 patients in local field hospitals.
Da Nang is in need of urgent help from provinces and cities nationwide to tackle workforce shortages amid a new wave of Covid-19 infections.
Till date, the Ministry of Health and the country’s leading hospitals, including Bach Mai, Cho Ray and Hue Central, along with organisations and individuals nationwide, have provided active support for Da Nang to help it in the fight against Covid-19.
In response to the Da Nang Department of Health's appeals, Nghe An Province has sent 2 emergency and resuscitation doctors, 2 Infectious disease specialists, 2 laboratory technicians, 3 hematology technicians, 4 biochemistry technicians and 3 microbiology technicians to Da Nang in an effort to help the city in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
They arrived in Da Nang on Thursday afternoon and all of them have a high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention. They have put their personal feelings and unfinished plans aside to support the city’s efforts in the fight against Covid-19.
Previously, Hai Phong City, and Binh Dinh and Thua Thien Hue provinces had sent their healthcare workers to Da Nang.
