Stranded travellers in Da Nang test negative for coronavirus before flying back to HCMC
Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air will together operate three flights to bring 602 Vietnamese travellers and 23 foreigners stuck in Da Nang back to Ho Chi Minh City on 13 and 14 August, the Da Nang Department of Tourism announced on Tuesday morning.
In details, a Vietnam Airlines-operated flight, carrying 298 adults and 2 children aged under 2, are slated to depart at 3.00pm on 13 August from Da Nang International Airport.
On 14 August, two others operated by Vietjet Air will bring 322 adults and 3 children aged below 2 back to Ho Chi Minh City from Da Nang. These flights will respectively take off at 9.00am and 2.00pm.
Earlier on 9 August, these stranded travellers had their swab samples taken by staff of the Da NangCentre for Disease Control (CDC) to test for the deadly virus. As a result, their test results have come back negative.
