The figure includes 691 locally-transmitted cases, with 551 related to the outbreak in Da Nang since 25 July.
On Saturday, 8 more Covid-19 patients were given the all-clear after testing negative for SARS-CoV-2, bringing total recoveries to 910.
Amongst the recovered patients, five of them hailed from Da Nang and the remainder came from Quang Nam Province.
During treatment, these patients all tested negative for the virus thrice. They currently are in a stable condition.
Upon their hospital discharge, the recovered people must undergo a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period at their places of residence, as a means of ensuring there is no possibility of the virus recurring or being transmitted among the wider community.
Among the active patients, 16 have tested negative for the novel coronavirus once, 17 twice, and 21 three times.
In total, 36,299 people having close contact with coronavirus carriers or coming from pandemic-hit regions are under quarantine nationwide.
The country has so far recorded 35 deaths, mostly of them were elderly people with serious underlying diseases.
Viet Nam has gone eleven straight days without recording a new local community transmission since a second wave of Covid-19 infections hit Da Nang in late July.
