Over recent years, Da Nang government has released a comprehensive municipal plan of action to end violence against women and girls, adopted adequate measures to prevent such violence from happening

All government department and agencies, organisations and individuals citywide have brought into full play their responsibilities in promoting gender equality and tackling violence against women and girls.

In an attempt to raise public awareness about helping women and girls, and to enhance the capacity of functional bodies to address gender-based violence cases, the Da Nang government has developed an action plan to create a safe city free of violence against women and girls during the 2020-2025 period, with a vision to 2035.

Under the action plan, at least 80% of communes, wards, schools, educational institutions, offices, factories, and passenger transport service providers are required to put in place workplace harassment and violence prevention regulations.

50% of public places across the city are required to ensure women-friendly infrastructure. Also, all victims of gender-based violence will be detected and supported in a prompt and effective manner.
