One more COVID-19 case confirmed in Da Nang
The Da Nang Department of Health confirmed on Tuesday noon, May 4, a further one person who tested positive for COVID-19.
The latest postive case was confirmed in a woman who is working in the same hotel named Phu An Hotel located at No.48, September 2 Street, Hai Chau district, with Da Nang’s infected man. He became Viet Nam’s 2,982nd COVID-19 case following the announcement of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday morning.
Currently, the female patient is receiving the treatment at the Da Nang Lung Hospital.
Health officials in the city are urgently conducting epidemiological investigation of the latest postive case, and tracing close contacts of this woman.
The municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control imposed a 14-day lockdown on Phu An hotel with its staff at 4pm on Monday. The lockdown period can be extended, dependent on the hotel’s specific circumstances, local health officials said.
On Tuesday morning, health workers conducted cleaning and disinfection in this hotel.
" We must take urgent action to quickly identify close contacts of the latest postive case in the city, conduct isolation and testing of these cases in an effort to limit the transmition of the virus in our community." The leader of the Department of Health said.
