The Phuoc My Market in the namesake ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang suspended its operation from 0:00am on May 5 until further notice as per request by the district authorities. 

The market was of the places a female massage therapist who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, coded patient No.2989 in Viet Nam, had visited, according to the recent release of her travel history. Here, the patient came into close contact with many stall holders who did not wear face masks.

As many as about 400 stall holders touting for business at the market had their throat and nasal swab samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing on Wednesday morning.

Pending their test results, the aforementioned traders are required to stay at home and strictly follow mandatory COVID-19 prevention regulations.
