16,800 people in Da Nang to receive two doses of Moderna vaccine
The Da Nang Department of Health has announced that 33,600 doses of Spikevax, Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, will be delivered in two batches to Da Nang by Vietnamese Ministry of Health in order to allow 16,800 people across the city to receive two full doses.
They will get their first shot from July 29 to August 5 and the second shot from August 28 to September 6.
The health agency has mapped three locations in Da Nang which will deliver the COVID-19 vaccination, namely the Tien Son Sports Arena, the Cancer Hospital and Da Nang general Hospital. All the venues will do temperature checks on people before entry allowing space for social distancing and a 30-minute recovery time.
Priority groups for vaccination in Da Nang include healthcare workers, and other frontliners who are currently helping in the fight against COVID-19 such as members of steering committees for COVID-19 prevention and control at municipal and district levels, people working in designated isolation facilities, customs officers, those working in such essential services as passenger transportation, food, pharmacies, banking, postal and telecommunications, along with people at higher risk from COVID-19.
