The Da Nang Department of Health has adopted Official Letter No. 3304/SYT-NVY requesting functional agencies to strengthen surveillance and monitoring of those who have completed their mandatory quarantine period at the city’s designated facilities.
Of special note, upon completing their 14-day mandatory quarantine at the city’s managed facilities, these people must continue to monitor their health status at home or their places of residence for another 14 days.
Besides, they must get tested for COVID-29 twice, on the 7th and 14th days from the date of their leaving designated quarantine facilities, in order to ensure no cross-infection and further spread in the community.
Upon completing self-quarantine at home, these people are requited to strictly comply with the COVID-19 prevention and control measures, especially the 5K recommendation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, namely khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration) to prevent the spread of the virus.
If there are such signs as fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, loss of taste, they must immediately contact medical facilities for timely management instructions as prescribed.
