Exemption and reduction of bus fares for 2021 - 2027 applied to eligible subjects

The Da Nang People's Committee has just given the go-ahead to the exemption and reduction of bus fares for the 2021 - 2027 period applied to some eligible subjects as follows:

The single ticket for a one-way journey will increase to VND6,000/trip in the 2021 - 2023 period and VND8,000/trip in the 2024 - 2027 period.

As for the non-priority monthly bus pass for trips on one bus route, VND120,000/month/route is set for the 2021 - 2032 period and VND160,000/month/ route for the 2024 - 2027 period.

With regard to the priority monthly bus pass set for one route, VND60,000/month/route is priced for the 2021 – 2023 period and VND80,000/month/route for the 2024 - 2027 period.

The non-priority monthly bus pass for inter-route trips are VND130,000/month for the 2021-2023 period  and VND170.00/month for the 2024 - 2027 period.

The priority monthly bus pass for inter-route trips, VND 65,000/month is set for the 2021 - 2023 period and VND85,000/month for the 2024 – 2027 period.

Fares may change when there are fluctuations in factors such as changes in wages, passenger volume and petrol/fuel prices.

The exemption on the monthly bus pass is applied to veteran revolutionary cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mother, wounded and sick soldiers with an injury rate of 81% or more, those joining in resistance wars with exposure to harmful chemicals and have a  reduced working capacity with an injury rate of 81% or more, Hero of the Armed Forces, Hero of Labour, martyrs' relatives, people with severe disabilities and children aged under 6.

Meanwhile, a 50% discount is set for relatives of martyrs who are receiving regular grants from the municipal budget, wounded and sick soldiers with an injury rate of less than 81% and the elderly.
