The two cousins drowned on Saturday in Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang while going to catch snails under the Phu Hoa Bridge, according to the Hoa Vang District police. The two victims accidentally slipped and fallen into the deep water.

Police and paramedics arrived on the scene in early Saturday afternoon after witness saw the two cousins in distress under the Phu Hoa Bridge.

The body of one drowning victim was found at 2:25pm and the other was found later at 3:00pm on the same day.

The two victims were cousins, aged 8 and 13, one resides in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang while the other resides in Thang Binh District, Quang Nam Province.
