Da Nang Confederation of Labour develops 12,469 members in 2022
The Da Nang Confederation of Labour on Tuesday held a meeting to review its performance in 2022 and identify tasks for 2023.
During the year, the Municipal Labour Confederation developed a total of 12,469 new trade union members while 870 excellent trade union members became Communist Party members. In addition, the organization spent VND 9.15 billion to launch the programme entitled “Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Binh An” (Tet Reunion - Spring of Peace) to present Tet gifts to trade union members and employees, open fairs offering discounted goods for workers, and provide financial support for 14,800 trade union members and employees.
Heed was paid to providing financial help totaling VND 5.56 billion for 11,300 workers and employees in difficult circumstances, as well as visiting and giving gifts to those affected by COVID-19 and natural disasters. Importance was attached to offer 70 free coach trips to take migrant workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. Special attention was given to building 87 new houses for poor trade union members at a total cost of VND 2.9 billion.
In 2023, the Da Nang Confederation of Labour will continue its efforts to better care and protect legitimate rights and interests of trade union members and employees.
Also at the meeting, excellent units were honoured with 5 emulation flags and 3 certificates of merit from the Da Nang Confederation of Labour for their dedication and commitment to emulation movements and trade union activities in 2022.
