As of September 2022, the number of internet users in Viet Nam was about 70 million people, accounting for over 70% of the country's population, according to the Viet Nam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Viet Nam is the country with the 12^th highest number of Internet users worldwide and 6^th out of 35 countries and territories in Asia.

As of October 31, 2022, the number of domain names ".vn" reached 564,444, about 1,000 times higher than in the early days of Viet Nam's internet.

Currently, the domain name “.vn” has the largest number of registered users in Southeast Asia.

As of late October 2022, 791 organizations and enterprises used independent IP/ASN. The number of Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) addresses in Viet Nam has grown to more than 16 million, ranking 8^th in the Asia-Pacific region, and 29^th in the world.
