Tourism promotion seminars held in Da Nang and Ha Noi
A seminar entitled ‘Advertising Da Nang Tourism in Ha Noi’ took place in the capital city of Viet Nam last Friday.
Organised by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the event was held to publicise the 2016 Beach-Leisure & MICE Travel Mart (BMTM Da Nang 2016), which will take place at Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 24 - 26 June.
BMTM Da Nang 2016, the first of its kind to be held in Viet Nam, aims to stimulate both the domestic and international tourism markets in order to attract more visitors to Viet Nam, and to Da Nang in particular.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to a wide range of Da Nang’s attractive tourism events and its new tourism products, as well as local attractive tourism stimulus programmes.
In particular, a number of new tourism products and services have been put into use since the start of this year. They are the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, an over 300m-long zip line cable at Hoa Phu Thanh Resort, the Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills Hotel at the French Village in Ba Na Hills Resort, the Ba Na Hills Golf Club at the foot of the Ba Na Hills, and a monorail system at Asia Park.
In addition, a wide range of new attractive tours have also been introduced for local residents and visitors. They include helicopter tours operated by Viet Nam TravelMart Agency, tours to admire the beautiful red-shanked douc langurs in Son Tra Peninsula by GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre, and sightseeing boat tours along the Han River and around the Son Tra Peninsula and Ngoc (Ruby) Island.

On the same day, the Ha Noi Department of Tourism organised a seminar in Da Nang entitled ‘The Emotions of Ha Noi’ to advertise Ha Noi’s tourism in Da Nang.
Representatives from Da Nang’s tourism sector attended, along with those from local tourism associations and businesses.
The participants were introduced to a wide range of Ha Noi’s tourism promotion programmes and its new attractive services. In addition, the focus was on sharing mutual experiences about how to effectively create closer links between the two localities for mutual benefit and effective cooperation.
