Da Nang’s Department of Tourism has predicted that the city is likely to have welcomed a total of 474,809 visitors during March which, if true, will be 28.3% up on the same month last year.  Of this figure, the number of international visitors is expected to have climbed by 58.3% to 190,514, whilst that of domestic visitors should have risen by 13.9% to 284,294.

This will mean that the total number of visitors to the city during the 1^st quarter of this year will be around 1.33 million, up 29.4% against the same quarter last year.  Of this expected total, 595,864 are foreigners, up 58.4%, whilst the remainder are domestic visitors, up 12.6%.  As a result, the city’s tourism sector is expected to have earned an estimated 3,902 billion VND in revenue, up 31.2% against the same period last year.

Over the 3-month period, the city has seen 42 cruise ship dockings at Tien Sa Port, bringing a total of around 51,000 tourist passengers, a 28% rise year on year.
