This forum will see the participation of representatives from the authorities of Da Nang and its sister cities, the leaders of national government agencies, domestic and foreign businesspeople, plus representatives from business organisations in the APEC member countries, and those from institutes, universities and colleges nationwide, and international organisations.

According to the city’s Investment Promotion Agency, the forum will offer a good opportunity to further advertise the land and people of Da Nang to international friends.  The participants will be also introduced to specific information on the local economy, the city's strategic aspects, and its preferential policies.  Through activities in the framework of the forum, the participating businesspeople will find it easier to seek massive investment and cooperation opportunities in the city.

In the spotlight of the upcoming 3-day forum will be the plenary session on 30 September.  The agenda will focus on discussing development orientations for the city in the future years, an overview of the local investment environment and the city’s vital role in accelerating the socio-economic progress of the central region and highlands.  Also, strategic investment sectors, breakthroughs to leverage Da Nang’s special competitive advantages to help it become an international economic hub in Viet Nam, and experiences in doing business here will be also represented.

The forum will also highlight discussions about 8 aspects in which the city boasts great potential and strengths.  They are start-ups, information technology (IT), infrastructure, hi-tech and support industries, heath care, education and training, hi-tech applied agriculture, tourism and real estate.

In particular, the forum will see the signing of a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on investment cooperation and loan agreements, and the granting of investment registration certificates.

Also on 30 September, the forum’s organisers will organise many field trips to the Software Park No 1, local industrial parks (IPs), major real estate projects, and the construction sites of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, Software Park No 2, and agricultural, healthcare and educational projects available for investment.  These trips will take place from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Last, but not least, on 1 October, golf and tennis activities will take place at the Ba Na Hills Golf Course in Hoa Vang District and the city’s Tennis Court, 40 Bach Dang, respectively.
