Following recent approval by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Authority of Da Nang’s Hi-Tech Park and industrial parks has been established based on a merger between the Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zone Authority, and the High-tech Park Authority.

Accordingly, the new Authority is working under the direct management of the municipal People’s Committee.

It takes the responsibility for managing the Hi-tech Park and other industrial parks in the city, as well as providing public administrative services, and other support services relating to investment, production, and business activities, for investors operating in the Hi-tech Park and other industrial parks in the city.

The Authority has its own legal status, bank account and seal with the national emblem. The costs for the State management and the performance of the Authority will come from the national budget.

The new Authority has a head and a maximum of 3 deputy heads, who all will be appointed by Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee.

With regard to the organisational structure of the Authority, there are some offices, 4 functional offices, and 2 public units.
