Customs-collected tax revenue in Da Nang hits 4,226 billion VND in 2020
The tax revenue collected by the Da Nang Customs Department hit 4,226 billion VND in 2020, exceeding 3.1% of the year's target and up 4.55% against 2019.
Last year, Da Nang customs officers handled the entry/exit procedures for over 2,000 cruise ship arrivals and 8,700 international flights carrying more than1.08 million air passengers.
Total Imports and Exports in Da Nang at Customs reached more than 3.49 billion US$, a rise of 2.65% over the same period in 2019. Of which, export value stood at 1.75 billion US$ representing a 3.17% year-on-year decrease while import value reached 1.74 billion US$, up 9.25 % over the corresponding period in 2019.
In 2021, the Da Nang Customs Department will make greater effort to promote the application of information technology, and the Viet Nam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System/Viet Nam Customs Information System, (VNACCS/VCIS) in handling customs procedures.
The acceleration of administrative reforms, and the simplification of customs procedures will be focused in a bid to save time and costs for local residents and businesses.
Also, heed will be paid to promoting cooperation between the customs sector and air and sea transport service providers in order to ensure the operational efficiency of the customs sector.
Various effective measures will be taken to reduce tax collection losses and increase checks on local tax debt cases, thereby reaching the sector’s target set for 2021 of 3,550 billion VND.
