Pig slaughterhouse reopens in Hoa Vang District
The pig slaughterhouse under the Hoa Phong Cooperative in Hoa Vang district resumed its operations in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Sub- Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services under the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced.
The pig slaughterhouse is allowed to reopen with the stay-at-work solution in place by Hoa Vang District authoritities. Seven workers are working in this slaughterhouse.
Since August 18 to now, the slaughterhouse owned by Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoa, located in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, has processed 13,325 cattle to provide 18.3 tons of poultry meat products for consumption in Da Nang.
Staff of Lien Chieu District Medical Center on July 28 conducted COVID-19 testing for the third time for all workers at the poultry slaughterhouse where the stay-at-work solution is being adopted, and tests on all these people came back negative for the virus.
Since August 25, a combined total of 115 cows and 1,593 pigs have been processed at the Da Son Slaughterhouse located in Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District to provide 137 ,7 tons of meat products for consumption in Da Nang. A total of 28 people who are working in the Da Son Slaughterhouse and staying at work, got tested for COVID-19 on August 30 and all of them received negative test results.
