Monitoring compliance with regulations on COVID-19 prevention rules

At the under-construction traffic infrastructure project at the western end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, before entering the construction site for a new work shift, engineers and workers must have their body temperature measured and their hand disinfected carefully. Mask rules and safe distances amongst them are strictly put in place. In particular, al of them are required to test for COVID-19 every 3 days.

According to Mr. Le Van Kien, a site manager from the 319 Corporation which is in charge of the bidding package for the construction of the tunnel at this large scale project, the company has assigned technical staffers at the construction site to supervise the workers’ compliance with mandatory safety measures against COVID-19.

Director of the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects Nguyen Minh Huy said, “Construction activities in the project are checked periodically and irregularly to ensure construction conditions, especially the compliance with COVID-19 prevention rules. If any unit goes against the rules, the construction work will be stopped immediately, and of course, violations will be handled in accordance with the law”.

All vehicles transporting materials and machinery for construction are all issued identification cards by the municipal Police to ensure convenient and safe construction. Previously, on September 2, workers at the key construction sites were given priority to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
