The forum was jointly organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Viet Nam, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the Tochigi Prefecture authorities under the chair of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

During his speech delivered at the event, Chairman Chinh advertised Da Nang’s potential and advantages to attract investment inflows from Japanese investors, including improved infrastructure in industrial parks, many support incentives for foreign investors in the hi-tech field, and high-quality human resources having proficiency in Japanese.

The city leader emphasized that the effective operation of Tochigi businesses in Da Nang demonstrated how attractive the city’s business and investment environment is.

To date, Da Nang has signed official cooperation agreements with 4 Japanese cities of Sakai, Kawasaki, Yokohama and Kisarazu.

So far, 8 enterprises from Tochigi Prefecture have been investing in Da Nang, including Daiku-JV Company, Gochipan, Beauty Atelier J-First, Cacao Stand, and Caters deVietnam.

In 2019, a delegation of 19 businesses from Japan's Tochigi Prefecture led by its Governor Fukuda Tomikazu visited Da Nang to seek investment opportunities in the city.

Located in the north of Kanto region, Tochigi Prefecture has great strengths in industry development, with many of Japan's largest industrial parks. Among them, the Kiyohara Industrial Park, one of the largest domestic industrial parks in Togichi Prefecture, is home to many global corporations in various aspects such as automobiles, electronics and machinery.
