Da Nang's tourism products introduced to international journalists

The Da Nang Department of Tourism on Friday worked with the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the municipal Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency, along with the Authority of Press under the Ministry of Information and Communications to host nearly 30 foreign journalists and press attachés of foreign representative offices in Viet Nam. Mr Doan Khac Viet, the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC)' Authority of Press was also present at the event.

Foreign guests were famtrip visitors to conduct surveys on the potential attractions and tourism products in Da Nang.

At the event, the potential of Da Nang’s tourism development and local tourism products, including the Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022, were introduced to foreign journalists.

From June 24 to 26, foreign guests are scheduled to explore such popular tourist attractions as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountains, APEC Sculture Garden, discover nightlife in the city, try local specialties and more.

Mrs Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said that the city is preparing itself for the Enjoy Da Nang Summer Festival 2022 which promises to surprise and delight local residents and tourists with an array of exciting events in a bid to make the city fresh and vibrant this summer. The Festival will run from June until late August.

During their stay in Da Nang, foreign journalists will participate in the carnival street procession themed ‘Take me to the Sun’, attend a kick-off ceremory of the Enjoy Da Nang Summer Festival 2022 on Saturday evening, and attend the Da Nang Investment Forum 2022 to be held on Saturday.

This is indeed, diplomatic missions and international press agencies in Viet Nam have paid their first working visit to Vietnamese localities sine the beginning of 2022. The visit by foreign journalists helps Da Nang promote it as an attractive travel destination, as well as give a positive signal to Da Nang to resume full tourism activities in the context of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic, associated with the gradual social-economic recovery.
