The Da Nang Investment Forum 2022, which is taking place Saturday at the Sheraton Grand Resort, promises to provide the good opportunity for participating businesses to access the city’s investment attraction information and preferential policies.

Efforts to remove difficulties to attract investment

According to Deputy Director of the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ho Anh Tuan, the coastal city has great advantages to further improve its business and investment environment and enhance the effectiveness of its support policies for businesses. Specifically, one of the city’s priority aspects appealing for investment is the high-tech industry. The field is so ‘picky’ so it is facing a shortage of skilled workers.

In addition to its current investment attraction policies, Da Nang is in need of policies to support businesses and investors easily access local high-quality human resources.

Also, the training and supply of labor resources should be paid attention to meeting the recruitment needs of employers.

Deputy Director Tuan stressed the need for the city to promote the regional linkage in order to create a larger space and motivation for Da Nang and Central Viet Nam as a whole, as well as facilitate enterprises to access land funds, especially manufacturing enterprises located outside industrial parks who are facing difficulties in accessing the city’s land funds.

Sharing the same opinion on soon concretising investment mechanisms and policies, Chairman of the municipal Young Entrepreneurs’ Association Le Tri Hai, expressed his hope that Da Nang would focus on issuing policies to accelerate the implementation of old projects aside from attracting new investors to the city.

He also believed that the forthcoming forum would be a good opportunity for businesses and investors to exchange, connect, and seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the city, thereby contributing to make Da Nang investment market become more vibrant after more than 2 years of being affected by COVID-19.

Chairman Hai underlined the necessity for the city to promote investment promotion activities, complete support services at the city's industrial parks and clusters, and enhance the quality of logistics services in order to better support production and trade activities of locally-based enterprises.

Expressing about positive signals of the forum, Mr. Pham Bac Binh, Chairman of the municipal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, hoped that many businesses from both home and abroad would invest into Da Nang in the time to come. He explained that the more large-sized enterprises Da Nang attracts, the more benefits small and medium-sized enterprises based in the city enjoy.

Open up new opportunities for business

Mr. Ha Duc Hung, the General Director of Ha Giang Phuoc Tuong Mechanical Engineering JSC based in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park in Cam Le District, said the organisation of the Da Nang Investment Forum 2022 showed the city's determination to attracting more investment flows in the coming time. The upcoming event comes at the right time when global businesses are looking for new production sites to spread risks.

Therefore, he put a spotlight to the need for the city to issue breakthrough policies in a bid to lure more investors to Da Nang in the future.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jeon Chang Hyun, External Affairs Director of the Vina Da Nang ICT Co., Ltd based in the city’s High-Tech Park in Hoa Vang District, said that Da Nang boasted many investment incentives, open investment environment and potential, and abundant human resources as compared to other localities nationwide.

Additionally, the city has issued many preferential policies for investors at the Hi-Tech Park, including land rent and infrastructure use fee exemption and reduction mechanisms, and corporate income tax and import and export tax incentives.

Therefore, the Da Nang Investment Forum 2022 will be a good opportunity for all investors to seek investment opportunities in the central city of Da Nang.
