Exploration and exploitation of land and stone sources for Da Nang construction industry
The Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that it has probed into some areas which are considered potential sources of construction materials in order to integrate them into the city’s planning during the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
Specifically, 18 areas with a total area of 624 ha will be probed for stone exploitation, and the total reserves and resources are forecast to be 92.76 million m3 of stone.
Meanwhile, there will be 10 land exploration and exploitation areas with a total area of 861.5 ha, and the total reserves and resources are expected to be 86.15 million m3 of land, mainly in Hoa Vang District.
Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Quang Vinh informed that the land and stone exploitation planning in the city has been updated into the city’s planning during the aforementioned period, and it then will be submitted to the competent authority for approval in the near future.
In particular, the city plans to exploit construction stones in 14 areas with a total area of 550ha and the total reserves and resources are predicted to be 84 million m3 of stone.
In the coming time, the city will exploit the leveling land in 8 areas with a total area of 714ha and the total reserves and resources will be more than 71 million m3 of land.
With such a plan, sources of soil and stone will be ensured to serve the needs of the city's socio-economic development in the coming time, especially the construction of the Lien Chieu Port.
