Customs - business partnership promoted

Customs needs to become more nimble and innovative to support businesses, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh made the request at the Friday conference on developing customs - business partnership in the city.

Speaking at the municipal Customs Department-hosted conference, Vice Chairman Minh affirmed that the purpose of the annual event was to promote the partnership between customs and businesses to implement well the State's financial, tax and customs policies.

He highly lauded the department for its significant efforts in proposing and implementing many solutions and support activities to help local importers and exporters.

The city official asked the Customs Department to continue promoting the achieved results, and increasing innovation to well perform assigned tasks and promote the growth of customs-business partnership.

The focus should be on mobilising all resources to implement main tasks and orient a number of activities so that the customs-business partnership will become more effective and substantive.

According to the report at the conference, so far this year, the municipal Customs Department has hosted 11 dialogue conferences in the form of online and in-person with the participation of 244 businesses and answered 93 related questions.

The rate of answering questions and guiding businesses reached 100% and there were no remaining problems or recommendations of businesses that were not resolved.

To mark this occasion, representatives of the General Department of Customs awarded certificates of recognition as members of the pilot programme to support and encourage businesses to voluntarily comply with customs laws to five enterprises. They are the Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co., Ltd, the Song Thu Corporation, the 28 Da Nang JSC, the Truong Giang Electric JSC, and the Niwa Foundry Viet Nam Company Limited.
