Organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and the city’s Artistic Photography Association, the 16-day exhibition is part of a series of events to celebrate the 20 years since Da Nang was recognised as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997.
The exhibition consists of 100 impressive photos taken by famous photographers, including Le Tho, Ong Van Sinh, Huy Dang and Ha Quoc Tan.
The photos showcase the city’s remarkable urban infrastructure developments over the past 20 years. Included are the building of the beautiful bridges across the Han River, the upgrading of the international airport and sea ports, and the implementation of other key construction works.
The photos also reflect the city’s significant social, economic, and cultural achievements, including the implementation of the ‘5 No's, 3 Yes's’ campaign and the ‘Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation’ programme. In addition, they introduce visitors to the great efforts made by the city authorities in building Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly city.
