The event attracted a large audience of local residents and weekend visitors to Da Nang.
As many as 200 street artistes and dancers in eye-catching costumes, along with local trumpet bands, paraded along the street. The watching crowds were treated to many different genres of music, including paso doble, rumba, tango, cha-cha and disco.
Since last year, these street parades have taken place on the last Saturday of every month, between 8.00pm and 9.30pm, and they have become one of the city’s most exciting cultural events, attracting much attention from both locals and visitors.
Last night’s parade was on a larger scale than usual, especially as it featured a wide selection of the typical musical genres of the 8 countries participating in DIFF.
