After a week of exciting competitions at the Da Nang-based Tien Son Sports Arena, the National Youth Handball Championship 2022 officially concluded on Friday.

In the end, in the women’s U18 event, Binh Dinh won the first place, whilst Ha Giang and Ho Chi Minh City finished second and third respectively.

As for the men’s U18 event, Ho Chi Minh City came first, followed by Ha Noi and Yen Bai Province.

In the women's U20 event, Ha Noi won the first prize, whilst Binh Dinh took the second prize. Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Giang shared the third prizes.

In the men's U20 event, the first, second and third prizes went to Ho Chi Minh City, Yen Bai and Ha Noi respectively.

This year’s sports event aimed to improve the quality of handball movements and assess the development level of this kind of sports nationwide, thereby selecting handball talents for the nation’s youth team.

Also, its purpose was to improve the organisation and administration for the organisers in preparation for international handball tournaments to be held in Viet Nam in the near future.
