Following recent approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the French Institute in Viet Nam-hosted French Film Festival 2022 will get underway in some provinces and cities nationwide from August 15 to December 31.

The localities will be Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Lao Cai, Thua Thien Hue and Da Lat.

A total of five French films are set to be introduced to audiences during the festival: Tokyo Shaking, Magical Dog, Mr. Klein, Teenagers, and What They Say - What They Do.

The films can only be shown in Viet Nam after obtaining a film distribution licence from the national Cinema Department.
