The University of Foreign Language Studies - the University of Da Nang, on Sunday, partnered with the municipal Department of Education and Training to host the final rounds of English, French, Chinese and Japanese speaking contests for Da Nang senior high school pupils.

After more than 3 months of launching, the organisers received a total of 147 entries of pupils from nearly 20 senior high schools across the city.

Earlier, the preliminary and face to face interview rounds were held from April 15 - May 16. Top 32 best candidates were selected for the final rounds of the contests.

As a result, the organisers awarded 4 first, 6 second, 8 third and 14 consolation prizes to outstanding candidates.

This is the first time that the University of Foreign Language Studies has coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organise the contests with the desire to create an annual prestigious academic playground for all senior high school students in the city who have great passion for foreign languages. This will signficantly contribute to promoting foreign language learning among senior high school pupils, and realising the goals of the proposed national foreign language project.
