City leader warmly receives Paxaxon Newspaper representatives

Last Friday, the Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Vo Cong Tri, played host to some representatives from the Paxaxon Newspaper, the voice of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee.  Also present at the reception was the Da Nang Newspaper Editor-in-Chief, Mr Mai Duc Loc.

Deputy Secretary Tri remarked that Da Nang is one of Viet Nam’s three largest press centres.  He said that the city-based press agencies are making significant contributions to developing Da Nang into a modern and civilised city.  He also highlighted the important role of the Da Nang Newspaper, the voice of the party, the government and the people of the city, in publicising the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the city, as well as reflecting the aspirations of local residents.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Paxaxon Newspaper, Mr Siviengkhech Connivong, said that many of Da Nang’s large events had been publicised in his newspaper.  He said that he was very impressed by the city’s rapid growth over recent years, and its modern urban space.  He said he hoped that the city would create more breakthroughs in the progress of the city in the years ahead.
