Presenting gifts to disabled pupils on International Children's Day
Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang Duong Dinh Lieu, on Monday, visited and presented gifts to 270 disabled pupils at the Thanh Tam Special School to mark the International Children's Day (June 1) and the Action Month for Children 2022.
Mr. Lieu highly lauded the school’s teachers and pupils for their outstanding results over recent years. He hoped that the school staff would continue to have more creative solutions in teaching and learning activities, and school pupils would gain good study results over the next academic year.
On behalf of the city leaders, Vice Chairman Lieu presented an in-kind gift and VND10 million in cash to the school.
The Thanh Tam Special School has a total of 32 teachers and 7 caregivers. It is providing special educational programmes for 233 pupils with disabilities. Of whom, 70 are kindergarteners, and 163 are primary school pupils. In addition, the school is offering vocational guidance and training programmes for 37 young people with disabilities.
