Da Nang eyes more better cooperation with Japan
During his Wednesday reception for Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Yamada Takio, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh asked for help from him to call on more Japanese investors to learn about Da Nang’s investment environment and participate in the city-launched future events, forums and seminars on trade promotion and investment cooperation.
Chairman Chinh also encouraged Ambassador Yamada Takio to support Japanese localities to share with Da Nang their experience in urban management and development, socio-economic progress and human resource exchanges.
Also, Da Nang is now looking forward to beefing up the bilateral cooperative ties in the fields of seaports, logistics, marine economy, urban infrastructure, culture and education.
The Da Nang government chief also pledged at the city leaders would create the most favourable possible conditions for Japanese businesses to pour investment into the city.
The Japanese ambassador thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome, affirming that the Japan - Viet Nam relationship has turned more fruitful, especially demonstrated through recent successful exchange visits by the 2 countries’ prime ministers.
In its plans for cooperative ties with Viet Nam, Japan has always shown its interest in the central Vietnamese region.
The Japanese diplomat said that, in the coming time, many Japanese businesses will seek investment opportunities in Da Nang.
He, therefore, hoped that the Da Nang administration would create favourable conditions, especially in terms of administrative procedures, premises and taxes, for Japanese businesses as well as facilitate Japanese experts to smoothly settle down and work in the city.
