During his reception on Wednesday for newly-accredited Laotian Consul General in Da Nang, Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang, Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs Huynh Duc Truong congratulated the guest on his new position.

Director Truong hoped that the Lao diplomat would promote the results achieved in the past time, and continue to strengthen the bilateral cooperation relations between Da Nang and Laotian localities in a more comprehensive and effective manner.

Mr. Truong expressed his delight at the development of the traditional friendship relationships between Viet Nam and Laos in general, and Da Nang and the south-central provinces of Laos in particular.

Particularly, some cooperation programmes between Da Nang and the south-central provinces of Laos during the 2018-2022 period have gained many positive results in such aspects as culture, society, education and health.

For his part, the new Consul General of Laos in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang thanked Da Nang for its active support for the south-central provinces of Laos over the past time, especially during the two years affected by COVID-19.

The guest affirmed that he, together with consulate staff, would make every effort to continue preserving and fostering the good friendship with Da Nang in the coming time.
