Reinforcing extensive strategic partnership with French partners
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh informed about the city’s socio-economic situation and its development orientations in the future while receiving Mrs. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, on Friday.
He also remarked that the city has been making every effort to drive its post-pandemic economic recovery, with a focus on appealing for investment flows into the fields of information technology, high technology, services, tourism and logistics.
Mr. Minh hoped that in the coming time, the French diplomat would continue to act as a bridge to foster cooperation activities between Da Nang and French partners in many aspects.
The host also asked for support from the French ambassador to promote the opening of direct flights between Da Nang and France for developing tourism, and encourage more French investors to visit Da Nang so as to learn about the city’s investment climate.
He expressed his desire that the French government would open short-term and long-term training courses for the city's cadres and civil servants, as well as speed up the implementation of signed cooperation deals.
Consul General Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, for her part, said that, on the basis of the good cooperation relationship between Da Nang and France over the past time, the French government expected to implement more programmes and projects in Da Nang in the near future. Included were teaching and learning French language in senior high schools, providing information about the French market for Da Nang businesses to approach, and expanding cooperation between Da Nang and French localities.
The French guest pledged that she would do her utmost to reinforce the extensive strategic partnership between Da Nang and France in the coming time.
