On Wednesday, a high-ranking delegation of Savannakhet Province in Laos, led by member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary and Governor of Savannakhet Province Santiphap Phomvihane visited Da Nang. Secretary Quang expressed his great pleasure to receive the high-ranking delegation of Savannakhet Province, affirming that the visit contributes to fostering the special traditional friendship relationship between the two Parties. Viet Nam and Laos, and between Da Nang and Savannakhet in particular.

Secretary Quang assessed that the International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair 2022 running from August 3 to 8 at the International Exhibition Fair Centre, 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, with the participation of businesses from the participation of leaders of Savannakhet Province will be successful, and at the same time, helping strengthen trade and trade relations between the two localities.

Secretary Quang informed that the Da Nang administration is directed relevant departments and agencies to coordinate with the provinces of South-central Laos to implement the cooperation agreements for the 2023 - 2027 period between Da Nang and Lao localities.

Secretary and Governor Santiphap Phomvihane thanked Secretary Quang for the respectful welcome, and said the visit was an important event to promote the good and comprehensive cooperation between the two localities.

According to the Secretary Governor Santiphap Phomvihane, Da Nang and Savannakhet are located on the East-West Economic Corridor, which is a favourable condition for the two localities to exploit their strengths and promote cooperation. Currently, many businesses in Savannakhet use the Da Nang Port for goods transshipment to the third country.

Secretary, Governor Santiphap Phomvihane wishes the two localities to continue strong cooperation in such aspects as economy and trade, education and medical, thus creating favourable conditions for businesses in the two localities for mutual development.
