The establishment of the field hospital aims at easing the possible Covid-19 patient overload facing the already-blockaded hospitals amid the coronavirus crisis.

Currently, this field hospital is ready to receive and treat Covid-19 patients in Da Nang.

After receiving information about the Hoa Vang District-based Medical Centre being turned into a field hospital, numerous generous individuals and organisations across the city have donated a large amount of essential supplies to frontline medical workers and functional bodies there. Included are meat, fish and vegetables, plus such household appliances as cookers, bowls, chopsticks, beds and fans.

Dr Nguyen Dai Vinh, Director of the Hoa Vang Medical Centre, said that around 200 medical workers will be available for treating Covid-19 patients in this field hospital with the support of doctors from Ha Noi-based Bach Mai Hospital.
