One more rice ATM set up in Ngu Hanh Son District to feed poor people

One more rice ATM is operating at a stadium on Tran Van Dan Street, Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang to provide free food for those impacted by the coronavirus.

The Secretary of the Ngu Hanh Son District Youth Union organisation which is monitoring this automatic rice dispensing machine, Ms Hoang Tran Chau, said the machine will distribute 7 tonnes of free rice to 1,400 local people who are the needy and those out of work following an ongoing citywide social distancing rules to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, from 27- 30 August.

The machine will distribute 5 kilograms of rice from a small silo to waiting workers who are poor people along with immigrant students and workers.

Most recently, the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities have distributed 200 in-kind gifts, worth one million VND each, to immigrant students and workers in the district who are unable to return home due to travel restrictions imposed by Da Nang government in response to a new wave of Covid-19 infections.
