Da Nang logs only one COVID case in managed isolation on Oct.14, all wards/ communes labelled as 'green zones'

The Da Nang on Thursday, October 14, documented only one coronavirus case which was detected in managed isolation, whilst no community-based cases were recorded.

Today, notably, marked the first time since the current COVID-19 wave started to rage on the city that all of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days.

The only one coronavirus patient above mentioned was a returnee from Binh Tan District, coronavirus-stricken Ho Chi Minh City. This patient arrived in Da Nang on repatriation flight VN 9126 on October 12 to make a comeback to his hometown in Hoa Vang District. 

Reportedly, flight VN 9126 carried this patient and 168 other passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. Regarding the issue of tracing and isolating his close contacts, doctor Ton That Thanh, the Director of the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC), said that, all passengers traveling on the same flight with this patient have been put under quarantine.

Also on Thursday, a total of 112 people kept under strict management in a blockaded area in An Khe Ward,

Thanh Khe District, the last sealed-off point linked to COVID-19 in the city, tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, the municipal caseload tally has stayed at 4,682.
