Authorized by Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, Colonel Tran Dinh Lien, the Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Public Security honoured and rewarded the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Team under the Hai Chau District Police Division for their outstanding achievements in cracking down an illegal drug trafficking ring.

As reported, on June 4 evening, by professional measures, the team established a special case with the secret number 303M, and broke an illegal trading line of narcotics taking advantage of app-based shippers.

The two leaders of the illegal trading line, 32-year-old Nguyen Trung and 29-year-old Truong Thi Kim Hang, both living in Da Nang, used tricks to hide drugs and ecstasy pills in packages of instant noodles and snacks to bypass the authorities.

A total of more than 1,000 ecstasy pills, 3 packs of ketamine, and 50 packs of drugs in strawberry flavors were seized.
