A drop of blood Given - a life saved
Recognizing the importance and noble gesture of donating blood to save lives, Ms Huynh Cao Huyen Tram, a specialist in the Reception and Information Response Department of the Centre for Monitoring Information and Smart Operations under the Department of Information and Communication, actively and enthusiastically participates in the voluntary blood donation campaign.

Since 2011, Ms Huyen Tram has volunteered 24 times to give away her precious drops of blood, with the desire to share difficulties and help the less fortunate, who need blood transfusions to sustain life. Her humanitarian actions have contributed to promoting awareness and a sense of responsibility among colleagues in the workplace and the younger generation in the local community.
As a student in the Faculty of Business Administration at the Duy Tan University, Huyen Tram actively participated in social activities organized by the school's Youth Union. Travelling to various places, including hospitals, to visit and give gifts to poor patients and those in difficult circumstances, these experiences deeply impacted the petite student. The image of patients in need of blood to fight diseases, struggling for their lives, haunted Huyen Tram.
Ms Huyen Tram shared: "For me, participating in voluntary blood donation is a meaningful act because I know that my blood contributes to healing and helping many people. After each blood donation, I feel really happy. In the future, if I am still healthy enough, I will continue to participate in voluntary blood donation."
Being both a direct blood donor and actively encouraging and promoting participation, Huyen Tram is an exemplary figure in the voluntary blood donation movement of the Information and Communication sector in Da Nang.
As shared by Mr Nguyen Van Quoc, the Director of the Centre for Information Monitoring, Smart Operations, Tram is a young and dynamic officer, creative in her work. In her role as the Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Huyen Tram is enthusiastic and dynamic in Youth Union activities. She is an exemplary figure, always pioneering and active in the voluntary blood donation movement.
The enthusiasm of youth and a loving heart have driven Huyen Tram to give her best efforts. Her number of blood donations will not stop at 24 because the amount of blood is never enough when there are still many patients in need. The voluntary blood drop is not just a life-saving medicine but also a loving heart, sharing difficulties and misfortunes with the sick. Therefore, Huyen Tram always thinks positively and focuses on maintaining her health, regularly exercising to continue contributing small drops of blood, and helping patients in need.
In her daily work, Tram always listens to opinions, learns from the experiences of colleagues who came before her, and constantly learns, trains, and improves her professional and political knowledge to apply and meet the requirements of assigned tasks. In her place of residence, Huyen Tram is always a role model in fulfilling civic duties, actively participating in socio-political activities, having a collective consciousness, striving for the common interest, building a cultured family, and practising cultural living in public places.
For her life-saving blood donations, Huynh Cao Huyen Tram was honoured with a commendation by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang for her achievement in "voluntary blood donation over 20 times."
