Secretary Nghia also re-affirmed Da Nang’ image as one of Viet Nam’s most ideal places for those from both home and aboard to live, work, relax and do business.

Addressing the forum, Prime Minister Phuc underscored the need for Da Nang to continue strongly securing its position as a motive force for ensuring the central region’s sustainable economic development.
To realise its goals, the city should promote bilateral cooperative ties with such its neighbouring localities as Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Thua Thien-Hue to establish a cluster of ideal investment destinations in the region for domestic and foreign investors in the years ahead.
In particular, more direct flights connecting Da Nang with Europe and the USA should be opened in the near future in a bid to develop the city into a hub of international conventions, technologies and business finance in the near future.
The Prime Minister also urged the Ministry of Education and Training, the authorities of Da Nang and Quang Nam Province and other relevant government agencies to begin, as soon as possible, the construction of the Da Nang University Urban Area Project which has been suspended for 2 decades.
Under the witness of Prime Minister Phuc at the forum, the Da Nang authorities granted investment registration licences, investment research registration permits and related papers to 27 projects worth 35,293 billion VND.
